"Found Time" Tapestry and Sculpture Exhibition - CELA NEAMTU and DINU CAMPEANU

Between November 8th - December 3rd, 2016, SENSO Gallery hosted the "Found Time "Tapestry and Sculpture Exhibition, under the signature of plastic artists Cela Neamtu and Dinu Campeanu.

Doina Pauleanu PhD, art critic and director of Constanta Art Museum, delivered the opening speech at the exhibition.

"In the landscape of contemporary Romanian tapestry, littered with first-rate figures in parsimony, Cela Neamtu holds undoubtedly a preeminent place; she secured it by natural endowment for the visual arts - she began with drawing and painting and then discovered later on, in the final years of artistic education (she studied at the Nicolae Grigorescu Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest between 1960 and 1966) both tapestry and the way to follow in its modern coordinates - knowledge, invention, reflection, faith, work, joy, dedication (...)

Dinu Campeanu works in oak, pear tree, elm and acacia wood, discreetly coloured, sometimes gilded, which he combines with bronze, artificial stone and glass (...). The respect for never forgotten materials and techniques, to which seriousness, depth, intuition are added, is expressed with long-lasting expressive effects in artworks (...) to bring offering to peasant interiors, the indurate adornment of the canvas".- Doina Pauleanu PhD.

This event was conducted with the support of Catena Group, through Catena for Art Program, and the Fildas Art Foundation.
