Alfred Dumitru

His shapes seem de defy the logic of sensing, perceptible universes, providing the alternative a sort of meta-reality, bearing its own meanings and senses, which must be deciphered.

The artist lures use into this “game” of transcending disguises, by suggesting certain conceptual landmarks, symbols or metaphors, usually terse and precise, although very capacious in their substance and depth of meaning. As can be seen, the artist seems to resort to a certain mystical awe of the significant substrate in the architecture of his sculptural kneads, extremely synthetic in its shaped marking. - Cornelui Antim, art critic, Bucharest 2007
