Marius Burhan

Marius Burhan follows, in the current stage of his creation, the relationship between space and the objects that (over)populate it; without letting himself be overwhelmed by the influx of elements in continuous motion, the artist seems determined to establish the natural and necessary discipline based on a stable code and spatial constructions; once secured, these eventually manage to set in order a world in the midst of a process of assertion/ imposing its own identity; the hunger for space of all the figurative elements cause the artist to operate with sections and fragments, to resort to a ample linear development, increasingly complex, sometimes obsessive, or even to “the reductionist strategies of abstraction”, to quote the name of an exhibition opened by de in 2012 at the Palatele Brancovenesti Cultural  Centre in Mogosoaia.
